Surf’s up in BC at O’Neill Coldwater Classic in Tofino!

Get the wetsuits ready—the surfers are ready to make a serious splash. The O’Neill Coldwater Classic Series surf tour barrels into Tofino, BC on Saturday (Oct. 9). The locals and fans will be there for this seven-day extravaganza of “ripping” (surfing well, to those in the know).

The event plays to its strengths of serious adventure and surf, which takes it during the year from Tasmania, Australia, to Scotland, South Africa and Canada, before finishing up in Santa Cruz, CA (USA).

And if that’s not enough saltwater fun ’n games, mark your calendars for the Haida Gwaii Surfing Expression Session, Nov. 11 to 14. These far-north British Columbia islands provide a beautiful backdrop, rich in First Nations culture and sheltered by a temperate rainforest. But don’t forget your gloves, hoodie and booties for this one: the water might be a touch on the parky side…
