Remember that cool video by the Discovery Channel called The World is Just Awesome?
It started out with two astronauts on a space walk and it moved to the tune of that old campfire sing-along ‘I love the mountains, I love the rolling hills…’
Well, the folks at Canada’s Rocky Mountaineer couldn’t agree more – the world is awesome. And they’ve put together their own video to prove it.
Snow-capped mountains, fast flowing rivers, glacier-fed lakes, foaming waterfalls, black bears and birds in flight – these are some of the spectacles awaiting guests on the Rocky Mountaineer, who get to take it all in through large picture windows from the comfort of their seats or in open-air vestibules.
The Rocky Mountaineer offers four train routes through western Canada and the Canadian Rockies. Think of it as a mini bucket-list. I’ve experienced Vancouver to Whistler – loved the raging Cheakamus River and waterfalls – and Vancouver to Banff (amazing, especially the tunnels through the mountains).
These trains travel during daylight so you don’t miss anything.
So sit back and get ready to sing along because Canada is awesome.
I love the mountains
I love the clear blue sky
I love the waterfalls
I love when eagles fly
I love the whole world
And all its sights and sounds
Boom Da Yada, Boom Da Yada, Boom Da Yada, Boom Da Yada….
