Happy birthday, Nunavut!

A collection of story ideas on Canada’s newest territory…

Nunavut Territory in the Canadian Arctic separated officially from the Northwest Territories on April 1, 1999. It is the largest and newest territory of Canada. The capital is Iqaluit on Baffin Island. Nunavut is both the least populated and the largest of the provinces and territories of Canada. Nunavut means “our land” in Inuktitut, the language of the Inuit.
