Discover new adventures in Alberta’s North-East.

These tours will provide participants a rich experience that they likely have never experienced before.

by Edmonton Tourism

Edmonton, April 9, 2010 – The President of the French Economic Development Council of Alberta, Ms. Diane Chiasson, and Mr. Marc Tremblay, the Executive Director, are proud to announce the launch of two new Eco Tours available in the North-East region of Alberta.

Two new and totally unique tours, “Reliving the Pioneer Days and “Discover the Métis Nation of Alberta” have been designed to allow tourists and travelers to relive experiences and adventures from Alberta’s European Pioneers who arrived in Alberta in the 18th century. Come learn about different cultures, including Franco-Albertan, Métis and First Nations. These tours will provide participants a rich experience that they likely have never experienced before.

This timely initiative addresses the fact that more and more, tourists and travelers are looking for opportunities to immerse themselves in cultural and eco-friendly activities where they can be more involved – more active. These two new tours will give participants this opportunity and at the same time, contribute to the economic development of the local communities.

This project was done in collaboration with several partners, including Creative Western Adventures Ltd. and Alberta’s Lakeland Destination Marketing Organization.
