As far as I know, Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, stated to the public, that the focus of the 2010 G8 Summit would be security concerns and human welfare. He reiterated the fact that it is the responsibility of the world's most developed nations to aide the world's most vulnerable nations. A significant focus will be placed on maternal and child health in the poorest regions of the world. Other topics on the agenda include security, nuclear proliferation, and the environment. Those are really topics that everyone is interested in. It was especially pleasant that G20 Summit took place in Toronto, Canada’s Big Apple in spite of all the protests I read about here http://bytesland.com/view/Toronto-G20-Riot-Fraud-pdf I visited it a couple of years ago and I think this is the best city to stay long time first of all because of friendlier attitudes to diversity there.
