One World, One Table

Culinary Tourism Thought Leadership World Summit
Halifax, Nova Scotia from Sept. 19 – 21, 2010

Bon appétit! Food enthusiasts from around the world will gather in Halifax, Nova Scotia from Sept. 19 – 21, 2010 for the Culinary Tourism Thought Leadership World Summit to exchange ideas and learn best practices from colleagues and experts. Throughout the course of the two days, international leaders in the culinary tourism industry will meet at this hands-on conference that connects culinary professionals with local experts. Attendees will personally meet culinary tourism experts across Nova Scotia – from Halifax to Tantallon – and learn their real life story to success, share food and drink with them in the hospitable environment of their business. From information on cool climate grape growing and winemaking to learning how Fox Hill Cheese House, a sixth-generation family farm, takes cheese production from seed, to grass, to milk, to cheese, the sessions will be authentic, informative and engaging. Food Network Host Chef Michael Smith and Food Inc. producer Robert Kenner will both deliver keynote addresses during the Summit.

This year’s theme is "One World, One Table: Using Culinary Tourism for Economic Development” and the itinerary will include:

Discussion: Two days of in-depth, thought provoking sessions from world-renowned speakers and leaders in the food and tourism industries

Best Practices: Hands-on, interactive sessions to garner best practices, examples and ideas from other food and tourism businesses and destinations around the world

Education: Mobile educational workshops Visit www.culinarytourismworldsummit.com for more information about the summit, including online registration, the agenda and a list of speakers. For more information about Taste of Nova Scotia, visit www.tasteofnovascotia.com.
