Joanne Sasvari

Joanne Sasvari is a Vancouver-based travel and lifestyle writer. She is also the author of a culinary-travel memoir called Paprika: A Spicy Memoir from Hungary, and a contributor to the Best Places guidebooks. Before becoming an independent writer in late 2006, Sasvari was entertainment editor at The Province, travel editor at the National Post and senior lifestyle writer for the Calgary Herald. As a freelancer, she has written extensively for CanWest newspapers as well as Western Living and Alive! Her areas of interest are: gourmet culture, regional cuisine, wine, spirits, spas, shopping, fashion, literature and culture (both high and pop).
