Veteran Canadian writer/journalist and photographer, Judy Waytiuk moved into freelance writing in 1994 following more than 20 years in mainstream news media. She specializes in story photo packages covering soft adventure, nature, cultural historical and learning travel for the boomer senior demographic, and has had hundreds of articles published in consumer and travel trade publications. In 2008, she received the Canadian Tourism Commission's inaugural Canadian award for Travel Story of the Year. In 2003, she received a Northern Lights Award for magazine feature writing, as well as the Tourism Industry Association of Canada's Globe and Mail Travel Media Award. In 2002, she was awarded Mexico's prestigious Pluma de Plata travel writing award.
